The Itchy Pooch - Our Grooming Policy

• Grooming services are available by appointment only -- Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, excluding some holidays.

• We strongly encourage you to book your next appointment at the time of your current appointment to ensure availability.

• We will call you to confirm the day before your grooming appointment. If you think you have an appointment and do not hear from us by 6:00pm the night before, please call us! Something may be wrong with one of our schedules.

• A fee of $35 will be charged for a missed appointment. This fee must be collected before we reschedule your grooming appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment, you may use our voicemail 24 hours a day. Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before your appointment or you will be charged the $35 fee.

• For the safety of our groomers, we require up-to-date rabies vaccinations for all pets being groomed during your appointment.

• We will not demat a pet that is badly matted and has not been properly maintained. We believe extreme dematting is inhumane for your pet. For cases of extreme matting, we will strip/shave down your pet by going underneath the mats, very close to the skin. We will try to preserve any parts of the coat, where possible, while making your pet comfortable and attractive as possible.

• We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that has behavioral issues that may affect our safety or your pet's safety.

• If you are not happy with our services for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact us to have the issues resolved to the best of our ability. We do not refund money for a grooming service that can be resolved.

• Payment of services is expected at the completion of your grooming appointment. We accept cash, most credit/ debit cards, and checks payable to The Itchy Pooch.

• Returned checks are charged a fee of $35.
